Sourcing Policy

AffairsAI builds each brief from multiple trusted sources rather than copying any single publication. This policy explains our source hierarchy and attribution rules.

Source hierarchy

We prefer sources in this order of trust for factual claims:

  1. Official APIs and portals — PIB, RBI, ministries, Parliament, ECI, ISRO and other government bodies.
  2. Official RSS feeds and sitemaps where an API is unavailable.
  3. Reputable newspapers and agencies — for events, context and explanation.
  4. Specialist and international institutions — World Bank, IMF, UN bodies, IPCC and similar for data and reports.

Attribution

  • We synthesise and cite; we do not republish full copyrighted articles.
  • Primary sources are linked so readers can verify and read further.
  • For restricted publishers, we store minimal metadata and link back to the original.

Why multi-source

Clustering the same event across several sources lets us cross-check facts, reduce single-source bias, and produce an original, verified summary mapped to the exam syllabus.
